6 Free Painting Invoice Templates

Some might think that when you have a special kind of business i.e. painting, they don’t have any idea about how to inform their customers and clients about the payment owed for the painting services or how to present the services on the official document. You can pay a little money to a professional for preparing an official invoice that will be used for your business or you can also create your own invoice. This way you will be able to add the information and details that you want or prefer and with just a little effort, you don’t need to pay anything to anyone. Just keep in mind that you need to add crucial information on the document so it can be used for legal purposes in the future. Make sure the invoice doesn’t miss anything and if you are having hard time preparing it, take a look below and go through these simple guidelines.

Guidelines for Painting Invoice format:

  • Start the invoice with putting your company or firm’s name on it. This is not important to mention your company name on the top of the invoice but it does make it look more official to the client or customer. Here you should mention the full name of the company, company logo, complete address and contact numbers.
  • Below that, continue the invoice with putting information about the client or customer. This includes full name of the client, his address and contact number. Make sure there is no mistake in this part and it’s important to address someone specific in the invoice but if you don’t know who to address, you can also write a generic invoice with the name of the company.
  • Mention the date on which you are preparing the invoice for the client and the date on which you want to receive some kind of response from the customer i.e. an acknowledgement or actual payment.
  • Reference number of the invoice is also important to mention on this document because it will help you keep track of your invoices and customers in the future.
  • This part of the invoice is very important because it’s the main body of this document. Here you will start with mentioning or enlisting all the services you provided to the client. Make sure to explain each service in detail and mention multiple services separately so you can put individual prices for them.
  • If you want, you can put the price of each service in front of the service or you can also make a separate column/part for including the prices. Here give separate price and charges for each service and then add them up at the end of the invoice.
  • Clearly mention when you want to be paid by the customer i.e. a specific date or some duration i.e. 15 day or 30 days.
  • If you want to discuss any particular terms and conditions about the invoice or its payment, talk about it on the invoice.
  • Put your name at the end of the invoice and sign it.
